There is always calm after the storm.. ♡
I apologize if this post seems sloppy, but I was literally supposed to start getting ready 10 minutes ago and I need to write this quick!! Σ(゜ロ゜;)
Why, you ask?
I'M GOING TO A CONCERT TONIGHT~~~~~
I'm seeing Crystal Castles ♡ with my dear friends Caroline + Sophie. For those of you who aren't familiar with them, Crystal Castles is a two-person group that makes quirky, electronic, witch-house type music. It's really loud, digital, and BEAUTIFUL. Caroline and I have both loved them since around 6th grade, late 4th grade for me O___O and I'm just extremely excited.
Now, on to the review!
If you've read my other posts, you'd know I recently received an Amazon gift card from my super generous auntie. With this I bought a super duper gorgeous pair of creepers:
So, after waiting about a week & a half, they're finally here!!
Shipping / Packaging: They came in a huuuuuge box! It was delivered right to my door (I live in the 3rd floor of an apartment) and it was pretty exciting seeing the giant box :3
Shoe Packaging: I thought the shoe box was pretty cute. Karmaloop included a sticker with ahem.. drug depictions ;______; I am 100% above the influence so I'll give it to a friend or something, LOL.
This is how the shoes came!
And finally.. the shoes themselves!! ♡________♡
They're extremely beautiful, a gorgeous lilac color, are very sturdy, and HEAVY. They're definitely stiff, but most if not all creeper-type shoes are this way and will wear down a bit after use.
SHOE SIZING / FIT: Okay guys, this is pretty important if you're considering purchasing these. One, they're listed in MEN'S SIZE. Meaning if you're female, you'll have to look up a conversion chart. I recommend this one. There are no half sizes available, so if you're a half size like me, SIZE UP. This is my first pair from this brand, and i'm glad I sized up, because with socks it's almost perfect, just a few centimeters looser than a normal pair of shoes. My guess is they run small, so size up!
I have absolutely no complaints. ^^
I can't wait to wear these out!! But for now, I NEEEED to get ready omg I'm picking my friends up in like 40 minutes EEEEK ok ok well I hope you guys enjoyed my review! Link to the Amazon listing is above under the first picture. C:
And here's one of my absolute favorite Crystal Castles songs if you were curious! I'll take tons of pics & blog about it when i get back tomorrow!
I'm so happy I've finally found a way to watermark my pictures without Photoshop, that's the reason I haven't posted in such a long time D': right now it's 9 pm on a saturday & my dad and Miyo are watching this disturbing uncensored movie in front of me.. i hate gore. -_____-'
ANYWAYS, on to the review!
I went to my local Japanese market this week to stock up on candy & mochi-related products, and i.. did.. just.. that. LOL. what is going overboard
I bought green apple Hi-Chews, cookies & cream Crunky chocolate, Ujimatcha Kit-Kat, honeydew mochi, and strawberry mochi ice cream. ^O^
1. Nestle Kit-Kat Ujimatcha Latte 宇治抹茶ラテ
These candy bars are actually pretty yummy! I'm a lover of ALL things matcha flavored, so I was pretty excited to see these mini packages in stores as opposed to the big bag that's like $7.
These kit-kats have a very creamy green tea flavor on top, with a crunch. I wish it had a little bit more matcha flavor, but it's still yummy.
These are the contents of the whole package~ and then what each cookie looks like. If only they were bigger (。┰ω┰。) LOL.
This candy gets 4 roll cakes out of 5 :3
2. Crunky Chocolate Cookies & Cream クッキー&クリーム
This was my first Crunky bar and I was really surprised by how much crunch it has! I found out that Lotte is actually a South Korean company, and I guess they distribute to Japan and America as well?
This chocolate was creamy, with crunchy puffs inside. Had a really yummy cookies & cream flavor. This is a craving BUSTER.
It's really easy to eat a whole choco bar.. T__________T luckily I only ate half before forcing myself to banish it to my desk drawer LOL.
This candy gets 5 roll cakes out of 5~
3. Honeydew Melon Mochi めるん餅
MMMMM MOCHI. No mochi, no life, seriously. For those of you who don't know, mochi is a Japanese sweet rice dough that comes in all sorts of flavors, I just ate one of these bad boys hehehe. If you've never tried these, stop by your local frozen yogurt shop and top off your yogurt with some!!
I love these mochis because they come without azuki (red bean) filling in them like most mochis have. This one has some sort of melon-y bean jam & marshmallow inside, the strawberry version has strawberry jam & marshmallow inside, my personal favorite ^O^
The bean jam is alright, I personally would prefer just mochi but it's still really yummy and has a nice melon flavor AND smell. Chewy, doughy, squishy, delicious mochi. *3*
This mochi gets 4 roll cakes out of 5 cause of the bean jam and my own personal dislikes~ but if you like azuki filling, I'm sure these squishy little balls of goodness would be five stars C:
Well this pretty much wraps up my review~ I need to lay off sweets LOL. I've been super sick the past 2 weeks & this can't be good for my immune system T_______T;
I hope you all enjoyed this, please let me know if you did my clicking the little clock on the side <-- of my blog and dropping me a comment? C: it'd make my day. SERIOUSLY.
Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation Review ♡ - 1/13/2013
Good evening everyone !
Tonight i'm gonna do a quick review on a new face makeup i bought today :D after i've heard numerous raving reviews!
I got this makeup at Walmart for $10, they had a ton of shades and i had a hard time figuring out which one would match my face D: but i decided to go with shade 150, Buff. & i'm happy i did!
The smell is pretty strong, but i heard it's easy to get used to. It's very creamy and has no applicator, I rub it in with my hands ; - ; until i can figure out a better way LOL.
The cool thing is they sell this makeup in two different types, for Normal/Dry skin & Combination/Oily! (which is mine)
The coverage is pretty good, it does feel a bit heavy but with a bit of mattifying powder over the top i realllly like it. I used to use foundation powder but i was horrified yesterday looking at myself that it made my face look kinda orange. :(
This shade of liquid has a yellowy-green undertone so it definitely combats that!
Also one of the BIGGEST things i look for in a face makeup is the ability to cover my freckles and pink cheeks. I give this a 4 out of 5 on that, as my freckles peep through a little, but it's definitely a lot better.
Here's pictures of me wearing it! (plus messy hair & unfilled eyebrows bahaha..) Thanks for reading~
Look at my phone! Is it not the cutest thing ever?!
It isn't even jailbroken! I downloaded an app called CocoPPa to do this ♥
You basically pick out an icon, tell it which app you want it to go through, & it opens the icon in Safari. You click "Save to Home Page" on the Safari menu, name it the name of the app, & move the app somewhere where you can't see it. Now whenever you press your new icon, it'll link through Safari to open your app. Pretty neat, huh? :D
The only downside to this app is it isn't a direct link to opening the app, you have to wait for it to link through which takes a little longer. But it's still oh so cute~ & free!
Also they don't have every single app on their search, which kinda sucks.. u____u but i did it for the apps they did have.
So today as i mentioned in my last post i stopped by the street fair for small biz saturday, & while i was walking around i noticed this adorable looking soap stand!
I couldn't get any pictures unfortunately, but there were tons of soap logs with pretty designs, wonderful scents, lotions, bath bombs, gift sets, holiday soaps, it was like HEAVEN for me.
Now, a note before i begin my review- this company is a VERY independent small business, that mostly sells on their online store with the occasional pop-up like the street fair today.
And, as an avid Lush-lover, i can tell you now that this company is like a Lush heaven - but more variety, literally half the price, and lots of love & care put into it- i fell in love at first sniff~ (●♡∀♡)
Now, for the review.
So i decided to pick up the delicious, refreshing kiwi-strawberry soap & the holiday candy-cane lollipop soap bar ♡
Those were the original wrappers, see how much love is put into these products?! ♥ this is what they look like unwrapped:
The kiwi-strawberry soap is literally.. sour, fruity heaven. It's spot-on, smells EXACTLY like candy, makes a beautiful lather, & not to mention- the chunk is HUGE!
And guess how much it cost me. $3.50.
And as for the candy cane soap bar, I haven't been able to use it yet but i can tell you it smells AMAZING. Pepperminty, fruity, delicious. Both products have quality ingredients, this only cost me $2.
And you won't believe how much their bath bombs are.
THREE FREAKING DOLLARS.
I'm definitely ordering from this store in the near future, I've found a small company that makes quality products and i'm seriously so beyond satisfied. If you guys like Lush, YOU WILL LOVE THIS COMPANY. It's good to support local from time to time, especially if you get something this good out of it.
Just me messing around with the bubbles in my pj's hehe, ignore me.. >3<
But seriously, this post is superduperannoyinglylong for a reason. GO TO THEIR WEBSITE, YOU WILL NOOOOT REGRET IT!
