Bday + Update ♪ - 4/19/2013

GUESS WHAT?!
I TURNED 16 YESTERDAY~~~~~ crazy times man (; w ; ) I saw my dad at his work and me, my mom, him, and Miyochan went to sushi. I got my favorite Philadelphia Roll~ (salmon, avocado or cucumber, & cream cheese) YUUUUM.
Then we went back to the shop and his ENTIRE CREW SANG ME HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I was so awkward but it was veryvery sweet (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥｀) he bought me a giant Chinese cake too! Chinese cakes are my absolute favorite, they're light and fluffy and spongey and the frosting is light and whipped and not too sweet!
And in terms of presents, well.. I got the synthetic extensions i needed for my upcoming Hell Girl cosplay, I have two pairs of circle lenses coming in the mail, and.. the most beautiful pair of Bodyline rocking horse shoes and the most beautiful shoes in general I have ever seen in my life.
..and they also happen to be the tightest pair of shoes I've ever tried on. EVER.
I was literally mortified. I ordered my exact size according to Bodyline's chart, but apparently they run HALF A SIZE TOO SMALL.
They're the exact length of my foot, top to bottom. No more, no less. That's it.
And I want to cry.
I'm going to try a few methods to stretch them, but literally that photo up there was not easy to take. It hurt to just stand in them, my feet were going numb..
UGGGGGGHBODYLINEWHY.
Then my mom gave me a Jamba Juice gift card and some cute snacks from Whole Foods including my first kombucha drink which was really yummy! Kombucha is like.. fermented and full of live bacteria and it's really good for you. o______o; but it smelled like NASSSSTAY VINEGAR.
She also ordered a Rilakkuma wall hanging bag for me!! I've been wanting it for FIVE ever, I can put all my glasses and knick nacks in it :33
AND MY BROTHER GOT ME THE LEGEND OF ZELDA SKYWARD FREAKING SWORD. I'm in the middle of Twilight Princess at the moment, my collection is almost complete!!! :"3

Planning My Very First Cosplays! :'D - 3/25/2013

YOU GUYS, I have some awesome news!!!
I started working on my very first cosplays ever :') it's so super exciting for me. You see, Anime Expo here in Los Angeles is coming up in around two months on July 4-7, & i'm really hoping to go as I haven't been to a con since I was in 7th grade.
I've wanted to cosplay for years now, I think it's the most amazing but unfortunately I have no idea how to use a sewing machine.. :( but, Miyochan said after I come back from my roadtrip she'll help me!
By the way, I'm planning on doing Ai Enma from Hell Girl (Jigoku Shoujo) + Red Scout from Team Fortress 2! C: I wanted to do schoolgirl Homura, but the uniform is way out of my options for my first cosplay.
Prettty exciting, huh?! I'm gonna have to sew a schoolgirl long sleeve blouse, sailor collar, cuffs, & find fabric for her red scarf. This weekend I went to my craft store and got supplies and made her bracelet :D now all i need to do is make her straw doll. After the sewing + crafting I need to buy:
- a pleated skirt
- synthetic hair extensions
- red circle lenses
- knee-high navy socks
- loafers
As for Scout, I purchased my red shirt this weekend, now I just need :
- G.I. Cap
- Dog-tag necklace
- Craft a headset
- Foam/prop bat
- Brown shorts
- Tube socks

I'm so beyond excited *cries*
Also, I decided that I'm gonna start making YouTube videos! Pretty neat, huh? :')
I haven't made any yet but I have made my channel if you'd like to see it, all it has at the moment is my liked videos.

Candy Review ♡♡ - 3/16/2013
Hello lovely readers~ how are you today?
I'm so happy I've finally found a way to watermark my pictures without Photoshop, that's the reason I haven't posted in such a long time D': right now it's 9 pm on a saturday & my dad and Miyo are watching this disturbing uncensored movie in front of me.. i hate gore. -_____-'
ANYWAYS, on to the review!
I went to my local Japanese market this week to stock up on candy & mochi-related products, and i.. did.. just.. that. LOL.
what is going overboard
I bought green apple Hi-Chews, cookies & cream Crunky chocolate, Ujimatcha Kit-Kat, honeydew mochi, and strawberry mochi ice cream. ^O^
1. Nestle Kit-Kat Ujimatcha Latte 宇治抹茶ラテ
These candy bars are actually pretty yummy! I'm a lover of ALL things matcha flavored, so I was pretty excited to see these mini packages in stores as opposed to the big bag that's like $7.
These kit-kats have a very creamy green tea flavor on top, with a crunch. I wish it had a little bit more matcha flavor, but it's still yummy.
These are the contents of the whole package~ and then what each cookie looks like. If only they were bigger (。┰ω┰。) LOL.
This candy gets 4 roll cakes out of 5 :3
2. Crunky Chocolate Cookies & Cream クッキー＆クリーム
This was my first Crunky bar and I was really surprised by how much crunch it has! I found out that Lotte is actually a South Korean company, and I guess they distribute to Japan and America as well?
This chocolate was creamy, with crunchy puffs inside. Had a really yummy cookies & cream flavor. This is a craving BUSTER.
It's really easy to eat a whole choco bar.. T__________T luckily I only ate half before forcing myself to banish it to my desk drawer LOL.
This candy gets 5 roll cakes out of 5~
3. Honeydew Melon Mochi めるん餅
MMMMM MOCHI. No mochi, no life, seriously. For those of you who don't know, mochi is a Japanese sweet rice dough that comes in all sorts of flavors, I just ate one of these bad boys hehehe. If you've never tried these, stop by your local frozen yogurt shop and top off your yogurt with some!!
I love these mochis because they come without azuki (red bean) filling in them like most mochis have. This one has some sort of melon-y bean jam & marshmallow inside, the strawberry version has strawberry jam & marshmallow inside, my personal favorite ^O^
The bean jam is alright, I personally would prefer just mochi but it's still really yummy and has a nice melon flavor AND smell. Chewy, doughy, squishy, delicious mochi. *3*
This mochi gets 4 roll cakes out of 5 cause of the bean jam and my own personal dislikes~ but if you like azuki filling, I'm sure these squishy little balls of goodness would be five stars C:
Well this pretty much wraps up my review~ I need to lay off sweets LOL. I've been super sick the past 2 weeks & this can't be good for my immune system T_______T;

Hey cupcakes~
I feel bad for not posting in SUCH a long time. It's been since like before the Chinese New Year parade ; - ;
I have sooooo many posts to make, deeer god. I haven't been posting cause my posts are very photo-heavy and unfortunately my Photoshop trial has expired LOL u______u;;

D.I.Y Tattoo Tights & My Fairy Kei OOTD☆ - 2/18/2013
Hello cupcakes ♪
I hope you all are well! I have another tutorial for you :3 as well as a tiny post about my OOTD based on the colorful Japanese street fashion Fairy Kei~~
Now, I'm sure most of you are aware of this new trend of tattoo tights! They're nude tights with all sorts of designs on them to give the illusion of the design being on your legs. Pretty neat, huh? ♥
They usually run from $5 - $20, but instead of waiting close to a month for shipping, I decided to make some of my own ; I did do a little poorly on the first pair though ..
so for the final result, I'm going to use a picture of my 2nd pair!
I'm doing the design with a big solid heart over each knee!
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
1. A pair of nude, non-sheer tights
2. A regular pen & permanent marker
3. A design you like, or freehand it! ✩
Step 1: Put the tights on and determine where you would like your design to go. Make a couple marks to make a note of it! (sidenote - yes, I photoshopped my nails LOL. They were chipping :c )
Step 2: Very carefully (so the pen doesn't smudge ; - ;) put the tights back on to make sure it looks right to you. Then take them back off and lightly trace your shape ♪
Step 3: Go over your shape with permanent marker and let it set
OVERNIGHT! This is extremely important, I tried them on once again after going over the design and the market smeared all over my tights, slightly ruining the effect.
Step 4: Once they've dried, try them on & fall in love with your new beauties made all by yourself!

Pigtail bows are handmade by me, kandi bracelets are handmade by me, sweater is from Forever 21, tattoo tights made by me, legwarmers are my mother's from her ballet class, & sneakers are from a brand called Royal Elastics ♡
Fairy Kei is such an amazing, rich fashion style! It's outrageous and colorful and I just love everything about it, it's so me~~

I've fallen more for the simpler look in the 3rd picture than in the 1st, but BELIEVE me, I love it ALL ♡ falling more & more in love with Tokyo fashion every day!
